Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Salary scale: £29,972 - £35,788
The fixed-term position is available from 1 October 2011 and is funded initially for one year, with likely extension for an additional two years.

Voraussetzungen und Aufgaben: Suitably qualified applicants are invited to apply for a postdoctoral position working with Professor Tom Gillingwater and Professor Peter Brophy on a project concerned with understanding disease mechanisms underlying spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). A background in neurodegeneration research would be desirable, though not essential, and applicants are expected to have a PhD or MD degree and relevant academic publications, as well as experience of morphological techniques and molecular biology.
